Unexpected Events but still; My Soul Will Sing

Psalms 108: 1 A song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.

Life, a relentless carousel, spins us through a whirlwind of unexpected twists and turns, plunging us into the depths of uncertainty. Born into a world marked by sin, we inevitably encounter trials that can sour our spirits. Even the most prudent among us are not exempt from the cruel hand of fate. These unforeseen events can fester within our hearts, creating fertile ground for despair to take root and transform compassion into bitterness.

In this fallen world, we must cling to the divine love that compels us to extend forgiveness, even to the most unforgivable. The year 2024 has been a tumultuous journey, a rollercoaster of highs and lows, marked by global conflicts, political upheaval, famine, and widespread injustice. Yet, amidst the chaos, we must remain steadfast in our pursuit of the kingdom of God.

In Psalms 108,David praises the lord despite being pursued by his enemy. David's eyes were not fixated on the plot and plans of his enemy; his eyes were fixed on glorifying the lord despite the evils that sought to trample him. In verse 2, we see Davids determination to give God the glory; even at day break. In verse 3-4 we see David bestowing Glory onto God to the point we wouldn't be aware that he was being sought by his enemies; he bestowed honor to God and gave God the glory. The sins of this world will not overtake our minds and cause us to spiral down. Instead we should shift our minds to the pursuit of Christ. Christ lives us, he died on the cross for us; we should pursue

him.

We must not idolize our problems but instead worship our Savior. In a world rife with evil and despair, our ultimate pursuit should be the kingdom of God.
